ZooTales is a combination of still and video photo narrative that combines the power of the still image and the energy of video.
ZooTales is a series of Still/Video movies created at the National Zoo for The Washington Post by Joe Elbert. New episodes will be added as they're published on WashingtonPost.com and Joe's website, JosephElbert.com
- Panda Passion. They go together - pandas and photographs. See a panda. Take its picture. Its an unwritten law of physics.
- Feeding the Animals. Happy is fed by Zoo animal keeper J.T. Taylor, he consumes 7 pounds of herbivore pellets, 4.5 pounds of fruits and vegetables, and 35 pounds of hay in one day.
- Year of the Frog. Blue poison-dart frogs are named for their bright blue color and poisonous qualities. Scientists believe these frogs obtain their toxic features from the insects they eat in the wild.
